A Google-commissioned 2015 survey of 1,201 recent hotel and restaurant searchers compared listings with and without a virtual tour. It measured stated interest, not completed bookings.
A study of one small fashion boutique found that a 360° VR experience increased flow, which was associated with store interest and physical-visit intention. It did not measure completed visits.
Cvent reports that room specifications, imagery/video, and floor plans are among the resources that most influence venue enquiries. This supports bringing those inputs together; it is not a virtual-tour conversion test.
